Rule 02 · Coffee Table
여백 (yeobaek) — negative space, breathing room, the emptiness that gives structure its meaning. A coffee table is furniture's most public space. It is the centre of a room, the surface closest to where people gather.
The Yeobaek is a coffee table that knows this. The top is a single slab — Calacatta marble, Nero Marquina, Travertine, solid walnut, or solid oak — selected for your room's specific character. Underneath it, space. No drawers, no shelves competing for attention. Just the top, the legs, and the room.
Height is specified in consultation — lower for lounging, standard for use. The leg profile — tapered solid wood, rectangular steel flat-bar, or a clean plinth base — is drawn and reviewed before anything is made. The proportions are yours to set.
Every stone top is book-matched or selected for specific veining direction. Every wood top is oiled, not lacquered, to age with the room. A single piece of material, given the dimensions and position it deserves.
"THE CENTRE OF THE ROOM SHOULD EARN ITS POSITION."
